P3 Xpedition portable folding solar panel kits
The P3 Xpedition military-style folding solar chargers are small enough to fit in a rucksack, but open up into a powerful, portable solar panel of 30W or 62W. Simple to use straight out of the box, this charger kit includes a 7A plug-and-play regulator for lead-acid battery charging and 5-piece cable set for portable devices. Built to MIL-SPEC 810 standards, and designed for low maintenance and rugged durability.
Versatile charging: Originally developed for the U.S. Military, this portable solar panel is a unique lightweight and silent solution for powering equipment wherever and whenever you need to. It can be used to re-charge12V lead-acid batteries (via the P3 controller or cigar plug), or power communication equipment and mobile electronics (often via the cigar socket or barrell adaptor). The SAE plug provides simple attachment to a load. Includes built-in blocking diode to prevent draining batteries.
Easy to deploy. The panel has built-in grommets allow for hanging, mounting or laying in any position. With no glass to break and easy connectivity these lightweight panels are ideal for expeditions and disaster relief.
Advanced technology: The P3 Xpedition panel uses GlobalSolar's PowerFLEX™ solar cells. This is a solid state, thin-film, CIGS technology.
The charge controller is suitable for 12V lead-acid batteries such as AGM and gel cell.
Expandable:
Link up to 4 Xpedition panels together for up to 248 Watts of portable power. That is a lot of power, considering you can fold them up in seconds to the size of a magazine. Requires Y-Cable accessory (see the 'Related products' tab).
Who should use Xpedition solar panels?: Great for mobile professionals doing field-based operations such as university researchers, geology, environmental engineering, photography, videography, surveying, meteorology, seismology, forestry, emergency and rural healthcare.
P3 kits are also ideal for soldiers, border control agents, special agents, emergency responders (WFR/WAFA), environmental engineers, extreme weather expedition guides.
The Xpedition solar panel, with its MIL-STD-810E certification, can stand up to the harshest conditions. Its lightweight and portable design makes it a perfect companion for anyone who needs power readily available.
Benefits:
Easy to transport – small enough to carry in rucksacks or a carrying case such as a Pelican or Storm case
Ready straight out of the box - plug and play 7A charge controller means your kit can start charging your 12V batteries right away
Use anywhere without disruptive noises
Stake or tie down in an ideal location for maximum sun exposure
Unlimited uses
No worries about battery discharge - integral diodes offer built-in reverse current protection
Effective in both dry and damp environments
Can withstand rough transportation and harsh operating conditions
Meets the United States Army's series of standard environmental tests
Works well even under poor light conditions.
Can be mounted to curved surfaces; built-in grommets.
